Dr. Ajay Narsimhan MS, M.Ch
Dr Ajay Narasimhan is a cardiothoracic surgeon who completed his higher speciality training from the prestigious Madras Medical College. He graduated in medicine from Annamalai University in 2010 and went on to do his Masters in Surgery from Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai.
He then joined Tamil Nadu Government service as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Madras Medical College and is currently working there. He has a keen interest in general thoracic surgery which includes surgery of the lungs, pleura thymus gland and mediastinum. Some of his other interests are complex tracheal surgeries and trachea-esophageal fistulas.
He has undergone training in video assisted thoracic surgery also known as VATS which is a minimally invasive surgery in the chest. He is credited with the distinction of having performed the first VATS Lobectomy in a government setup in TamilNadu.
He is also an academician and has published many papers in peer reviewed journals. He has also presented many papers and posters in state and national conferences.
